Kiryu frowned. The voice was smooth and low, and neither that nor the thick Kansai accent packed into the short phrase sounded like his brother, now that he thought about it.
“Sorry to pop yer bubble, but I’m probably not the one ya asked fer.”
“You, uh-” He started dumbly, trying to collect his thoughts. “I think I dialed the wrong number.”
“Oh honey, those things don’t go outside."
After the Empty Lot incident, Kamurocho is tense with a new structural age for the Tojo Clan. Tempers are running high. Kiryu is back as an aspiring Yakuza, finding himself entangled in scuffles more and more often. As avoiding one takes him to a phone club, he comes across an unusual recepient, and the expanse of the clan unrest ripples further than anticipated.

“Ah. Ya ain’t quite kicked the bucket, huh? Good, ya won me a bet.” A broad man is hovering in his periphery. Majima gets a fractured view of his current dwelling—sunlight filtering in between rotting timbers and dappling across the moss on the walls, a thin pile of fabric scraps under his aching body soaked deep crimson, a bowl of broth on a wobbly table. And, the man. The sunlight catches on his hair, the length tied back in a high ponytail and dark bangs framing his craggy features, and a thick coil of chain is looped around the waist of his simple green kimono. There’s a gruffness to him in tone and posture, but his eyes are—soft isn’t the word for it, but that’s all Majima’s rattled brain can supply.
“Haw?” is all he manages to say in return, and even that utterance makes his parched throat crackle.

Summary
“You two deserve each other,” Yayoi explained, her voice full of disrespect, “I don’t care for your childish bickering. You two finally need to take responsibility as grown men. You both cost valuable resources that neither of their clans can afford on top of the struggles they are already dealing with.”
Daigo manages to ruin the opportunity for a truce between the Tojo Clan and the Omi alliance, earning the thankless task to stop the impending war. As if finding the missing Omi chairman and solving Terada's murder wasn't difficult enough he gets tied to his biggest rival and the sole reason for the warfare, Ryuji Goda.
