Summary
"I want to wear a uniform. I want to be called something I'm not. I want you to be strict with me. And I want to say 'Yes, Sir.'"
Sophie Baek has spent over a decade saying "yes" to people who never asked if she meant it. To Araminta. To entitled guests at charity galas. To every rich person who mistook her existence for the service industry. Tonight, she's asking Benedict to let her say it on purpose in a room she chose, and with a word that can stop it.
Benedict is terrified he'll be good at it. Sophie is reclaiming it. They're both about to learn that the most honest thing you can give someone is your carefully negotiated surrender.

Summary
When it was time for lunch, Alfie took off the netting he’d tied to the top of the jar and shook the butterfly out. It hovered for a moment between them, circling their heads once, twice, before finally lifting higher, disappearing into the wide stretch of sky above the fields.
Sophie ran after it, following the flicker of gold-orange wings until she couldn’t see it anymore.
She slowed, then stopped.
And wondered, just for a moment, what it must be like to live your entire life never being touched—
as if even the gentlest hands might ruin you.
Together, Benedict and Sophie, teach other what it means to live.

Summary
Sansa was determined to convince her aunt to let Arya debut, which is how she finds herself in her current predicament.
“Who is this secret gentleman who has asked for your hand?” Aunt Lysa asks, and Sansa knows from her tone that she does not believe. (She has every right not to believe, for it is not true.)
And then Sansa does something very, very foolish.
She says a name.
“The Duke of Dragonstone!”
Or, Sansa fakes an engagement so that Arya can debut and marry the man she loves. The only problem? Her fake fiance just so happens to be in the city when he was not supposed to be.

Summary
Evie and Gale seem to have failed in their mission to get along. If they’re not ignoring each other, they’re arguing. The journey to Baldur’s Gate has made them uneasy allies but hardly good friends.
Then a mysterious portal opens up in the Elfsong Tavern. Gale is pulled through and a different Gale emerges in his place.
Evie isn’t surprised to hear that this new Gale has been experimenting with a teleportation spell, one that he mangled so horribly it sent him to a parallel universe. However, she’s very surprised to hear that in this Gale’s home world, he and Evie are very close.
In fact - they’re in love.
