When Laszlo's therapy session inadvertently unlocked the Guide's sordid past, she was hit with centuries of lust all at once. It's taking everything in her power not to lose control, especially when it comes to Nadja.
Nadja is also exercising restraint around the Guide, not wanting to abuse her position of power as boss to someone who cannot quit.
