Mark raises an eyebrow.
"Mhm."
"So have you—uh—" At the edges of his lips, it sounds so insane. "Have you ever wanted to eat another hybrid?"
"Eat another hybrid?"
Oscar nods sharply.
"Oscar…" Mark drags it out like he is about to reprimand him. "Do you want to eat someone?"OR: Oscar is a rabbit hybrid. Carlos is a fox hybrid. Oscar is terrified that Carlos might want to eat him, so he tries to face his fears via exposure. Carlos interprets Oscar's sudden interest in spending time with him a bit differently.

Summary
There was an elephant in the room no one wanted to acknowledge. Someone was incessantly clicking their pen from the other side of the long board table. Tom bit his nails, anxiously staring at Piastri. The man in question glided his eyes through the same paper he had gone through dozens of times.
“A fake dating contract? Really?” Oscar had asked Tom, exactly two days ago.
“Listen,” Mark perked up from the other side of the room. “It’s just a PR stunt. This is a huge opportunity for the team,” he animatedly gestured with his hands, “Financially speaking.”
“And why would you even accept this ridiculous offer? I don’t like men.”
“You do realize that you are currently one of the most villainized drivers in the season?” Tom asserted, clearly not in the mood to sugarcoat his words. “It’s a good opportunity for the team.”
Oscar understood to a certain degree, he really did. Getting booed during almost every win in the first half of the season made it crystal clear.
“Moreover, the guy you’ll be seeing is a looker.”

Había una serie de reglas en el pit. Carlos solía diferenciarlas en tres colores, exactamente como si fuera un semáforo. Uno normal, no uno de Fórmula 1.
1. Verdes: lo permitido.
2. Amarillas: aquello que estaba mal visto, pero podías hacerlo.
3. Rojas: completamente prohibidas.Oscar le pilla saltándose una de las rojas haciendo que sus caminos choquen incluso fuera de la pista. Haciendo que quiera que Carlos rompa las reglas con él.

Summary
Mark knew Oscar had trouble navigating himself around his parents, knew sometimes his mother would make him feel uncomfortable with her persistent need to invade Oscar’s privacy. It was normal parent stuff, sure, but Oscar wasn’t a normal kid. He needed someone who knew him, really knew him. Someone like Mark.
