Reza feels a vein in his head twitch. The pained gasping moan Strandberg makes when Reza grabs the short strands of his blond hair and yanks it back is at least gratifying.
“Your life is in my hands, Claus,” Reza reminds, letting his voice go dark and low (and oh, what’s this, the way Strandberg shivers and clenches around him when he does,) “You’re lucky all I’m doing is fucking you when I could just so easily throw you to the rioters to gain their favour.”
Strandberg has the gall to laugh, even if it is stuttered and tinged with arousal. “Sure, but you won’t. I’m your key to getting this fucking country handed to you on a silver platter, and in the end I’ll be sipping cocktails by the beach while you bend over to run politics. Who’s fucking who, then?”

Daniel must’ve not anticipated that response, by the way he blinks a few times before he replies. “Yeah, I’m. I — No, okay, come on Daniel — I just wanted to know if you wanted to, maybe. Grab a drink sometime?”
“There’s a free flow bar two rooms down from here,” 47 says nonchalantly.
“What? No — No, I mean. I mean, um,” Daniel struggles, “I mean outside of here. Like… once this party is over. Just you and me.”

As our research progresses, there must naturally arise questions of physical proximity and interaction between quantum-paired individuals. We have begun the basics—for example, mere touch has not catastrophically collapsed our superposition—but it’s time we move to the next logical step, in exploring more intimate intercourse.
Thus far I’ve held back, out of concern for my brother’s health, but also, I’ll admit, out of a misapplied habit of propriety. Not that there might be anything improper in what I propose—it is an experiment, nothing more. Though it does fall outside our usual realm of maths and mechanics, our expertise in physics need not preclude an interest in biology. And what self-respecting scientist could resist the chance?
After a great deal of thought, I’ve broached the subject, and my brother agrees. We begin tonight.
