Yet he has become more and more reclusive over the past years.Frank - a handyman to the rich and famous - tends to the homes and gardens of luxury mansions and loves his job, although feels somewhat insecure about his own life in comparison. His most recent client, however, is somewhat of a mystery, and Frank is intrigued to know more about him.
Can the Handyman bring the successful author out of his solitary ways, and maybe befriend him? (or more!! Obviously)

The heat of Frank's skin bled into her palm, and it was too much, too close, too real. The words clawed their way up her throat before she could shove them back down. “I like you,” Illi blurted.
Frank froze, his lashes flickering as he blinked at her.
Her face went hot. “I mean, like, like you. I wanted to go to the roller rink with you because… because I wanted it to be a date.” The words tumbled faster now, desperate and unstoppable. “I don’t even like roller skating,” she admitted, a weak laugh escaping her mouth.
The silence that followed was unbearable. Her pulse roared in her ears, her stomach twisting tight. This was it, the part where he pulled away, the part where he told her she was sweet but he didn’t feel that way, the part where she ruined everything. She braced for it.
But then Frank laughed. It wasn’t mean or dismissive, but soft and amused, like she’d said something obvious.
“Illi,” he said, his voice warm, “I knew it was a date.”kintober day one: first time!
