Dream glances over at George; how beautiful he looks in the evening glow, resting his head against the window and gazing out at the steady rain. Dream mourns when he has to tear his eyes away to guide the car around a bend.
He speaks softly into the quiet: “You doing okay?”
George sighs and looks over. “I should be asking you that.”
And Dream almost crumbles, right there under George's gaze—all fond and concerned and gentle as always. “I can still worry about you," he says quietly. "You know that I do.”

Against all odds, the first thing George notices is the air. Thick, humid. Hot. It was raining in London just a second ago. This doesn’t feel like rain air.
“Dream?” he asks in a broken voice—a broken voice he doesn’t recognize as his own. “Dream.”
“George, what—” He’s stunned into silence. George hears the gears turning; the world caving in on itself. “What the—”
“We body-swapped,” George explains, because he seems to be the only one with a grasp on the situation they’re in, however flimsy. “You’re in London.”
On loneliness and distance, but above all else, on the agony of being known—inside, out, and all around.

Summary
He doesn’t feel it until he’s in bed, chin pressed into the hardness of his uncomfortable pillow. He opens a video. He listens. He listens to Dream’s laughter, wheezing and breathless. He listens to the dips of turns of his voice, and it burns something deep in the pit of his stomach. It swallows him whole.
He’s here, following or chasing or being dragged down by Dream into a rabbit hole where everything is bigger and everything is scarier. His body is too small to contain it all.
Or, an ode to finding your way to where you’re meant to be.

Dream misses someone.
It’s the type of missing that makes him feel like he is stuck in limbo. That he’s been there for seven years. That he’s been looking at the world through a window, fog eating the sights and rain racing each other to see who can finish first. It feels like he is just existing while everyone is doing something with their lives around him. But that's the thing… It doesn't make sense.
It doesn't make sense because how can someone miss someone they’ve never met?
Or
Dream goes through the long journey of figuring out how to deal with the pressure of missing someone who is right in front of him. He develops and admits some things along the way, leading him down a path of jealousy, pain, and love.
