The way his voice got deeper made her quiver. Mike wasn't just saying what he thought she wanted her to hear; he wanted her to remember why he loved her in the first place.

“Am I intimidating?” She interrupted, her lips grazing his. The warmth was so enticing. Her thumb rubbed circles in his flushed cheek. Every touch was gentle, heavy, and tender. It was like she was afraid she'd break him, maybe she was. Compared to her, Mike was glass.
