What drives him crazy the most is the fact that Xiao Xingchen isn't showing any signs of pushing him away despite of saying, "Xiao You, let me go," with the same polite tone he always had.
"And if I don't?" Xue Yang asks as he break into a smile, showing his canine teeth as if wanting to let Xiao Xingchen see. Alas, that would never happen as he is now blind. And even if he isn't, Xue Yang wouldn't be able to—because Xiao Xingchen's sword would definitely pierce right through him before he could even take a step closer, let alone showing his smile.

Summary
After the Jin save him following his massacre of the Chang clan, Xue Yang is upset that Chang Ping escaped his revenge and furious that Xiao Xingchen is still sticking his nose in, trying to get Chang Ping to denounce him. He speculates about how to punish them - but Jin Guangyao forbids him, as the Jin's budding demonic cultivator, to go on any more vengeful rampages.
Instead, Jin Guangyao promises to deal with Chang Ping and Xiao Xingchen on Xue Yang's behalf - and so, before long, Xiao Xingchen finds himself thrown into a Jinlintai prison, accused of Chang Ping's murder...
