Summary
The weapon shudders in Thanatos’s hand, anticipating death. “You must hate me,” he whispers, “to keep doing this to me. To keep making me do this.”
Zagreus is still, and Thanatos finds himself leaning in, chasing the warmth. He hesitates. His scythe shakes in his hand again. Impatient.
“I don’t hate you,” Zagreus says, his voice and his face even, determined. “But I will break you.”
Thanatos as the Asphodel boss AU. It’s snowing on the surface, the Phlegethon burns, and Zagreus’s infernal heat slowly melts through Thanatos’s icy resolve.

Summary
Zagreus should have expected this to happen. He and Thanatos have been hurtling towards this point for a long time. Thanatos approaches Zagreus, wanting to turn their relationship into something more, but Zagreus refuses to let his impulses cost him the dear friend he just got back. Even if he loves him.

Summary
Thanatos knew about hearts, of course. The way they beat, the way they bled. Had burned his right hand down to the bone from handling their heat. Had been held prisoner by a king intent on freezing his own heart into an immortal state, for all the good it ultimately did him.
He did not have a heart, being created of ichor and darkness and his mother’s intention. None of the chthonic beings did, with one exception.

Summary
Zanka is tasked with keeping Jabber from running too wild in his new position with the cleaners. Jabber is a ball of excess manic energy. Daily fights are a little unsustainable when there are trash beasts to be defeated on a moment’s notice.
And since their relationship has been evolving, it's a no brainer. Jabber is a masochist. Zanka has a dominant streak. Easy peasy. It shouldn’t be too different from all the times before.
Except, as usual, Zanka is a fucking wild card. Sex never felt hazy or vulnerable like this with any of the strangers that make up Jabber’s sexual history. Jabber is used to pain, but treated with roughness and care in equal measure is new and very disarming.
