Summary
This kind of cycle gave birth to something else. Something that festered under the surface and lay in wait until it found someone new to sink its teeth into.
During Gojo’s youth and long before Itadori Yuuji became Sukuna’s vessel, it had created the curse user Geto Suguru. During Itadori Yuuji’s youth and long before the next Strongest entered their prime, it created the tragedy of Fushiguro Megumi.
Where “strength” flourishes, there must also be “weakness”. That weakness, that disillusionment, that sorrow, it lies in wait until the vulnerable have nowhere else to turn. Until they are out of options, and the only way to protect what they care about comes down to a decision to be the target for anger, hatred, and fear.
The loss of Geto Suguru changed the jujutsu world forever. The loss of Fushiguro Megumi would change Itadori Yuuji forever.

The temple was peaceful today. It always looked the most beautiful on sunny spring days. The smell of flowers wafted through the halls on the breeze, carrying with it sweet perfumes and melodies of the wind chimes and bells. The shadows from the buildings painted intricate pictures across the walkways and interior rooms. Each building shone brightly, like they were beacons to some being looking down from the heavens. A cry that they were here, that they were waiting to be visited. When you walked past the shrine, prayers chanted to the skies drifted through the air, nourished the flowers, and made the crystalline blue stretching out far above their heads brighter.
At least that’s what someone more poetic than Fushiguro may have thought. To him, it was a simple spring day. Nothing more.
“I can feel you staring,” Gojo sing-songed. “Something you want to ask me, Megumi?”
Megumi tensed. “I was just thinking about how weird you are.”
“Today is a glorious day,” he sighed, smile tugging at his lips. “Today, our god is reborn.”

Summary
Someone had once said that somewhere out there in the great expanse of the universe, there had to be a higher power of some kind watching over humans. Cradling the world in their mighty hands and gently guiding the path of lives all over the world. Multiple beings, one, a force, a feeling, whatever it was that made people feel loved. Made them feel special and taken care of. The future is far too scary to be going it alone. Those with weak wills need a hope to keep going. That hope is normally the knowledge of an all knowing…something. Graceful to those who sacrifice to it, who pray to it, who bow down in worship. Often, not so gracious to those that don’t follow in the “fate” that has been laid out by this power.
Yaku Morisuke thought it was all bullshit.

Summary
Oikawa was in his space so suddenly he jumped a little bit, earning a few stray chuckles. A glaring reminder that they weren’t alone here. He was pressed against him, hand reaching down to guide the arrow and Kageyama’s own up to string the bow gently. It was calculated, perfect. If they messed this up now it would make tensions and pressure rise even more. Kageyama was about to take the most important shot of his life and Oikawa was guiding him through it.
He would have laughed at how strange it was if he could breathe properly.
“You’re shaking,” Oikawa noted lowly, slowly guiding them to aim.
Kageyama plastered a polite smile on his face to try to keep up appearances. “You would be shaking too if you didn’t know this was coming. They’re all counting on this one single shot.”
