Summary
Tetsurou had many different stories for when he had fallen in love with Kei. All of them were true.
He looked beautiful, like he had just stepped out of a French movie, the kind that won awards. Tetsurou could see the scene in front of him play out in black and white, half expecting Kei to start calling him ‘mon amour’ and ‘mon chéri’ when he breathed out a cloud of smoke and closed his book.

Summary
"You like my body," Kei stated.
Kuroo closed his eyes and pet a hand up his own neck, imagining something unspeakable, as he confessed, "Oh, very much. I'd like nothing more than to lay my claim, see all the ways it bends, the ways it breaks."
Kei took a moment to muster courage, before dropping his katana on the floor. It's handle hit the tatami mat with a muted thud.
"You may have your way with it, then."
Kei trained his entire life for the day when he'd contract a familiar and graduate his status as junior officer in the Bureau of Onmyō.None of his training could have prepared him for this, however.

Summary
Only now did everything make sense: the warning, the discerning eye. Akiteru had predicted this would happen. His brother was fire, burning gold. For the sake of his colleague, he tried to pour water over the embers, before something could spark, before the flames could scorch them both.
No matter his foresight, Akiteru's efforts would be in vain. Kei was too perfect. Tetsurou understood now that burning was inevitable.
Kikaijima. It's a sleepy island with a population of less than eight thousand, inhabited by sugarcane farmers, fishermen, and two people running from their past.Tetsurou came to finish his dissertation. Kei came to write a curriculum. Both of them are hiding something, and neither one wants to admit they've made the stupid mistake of falling in love. Again.
