Summary
Isagi opens his arms instead, beckoning Kaiser forth with a smile, “come, you must be cold.”
There is only so much a child can take, and Kaiser springs forward, jumping into Isagi’s arms. There’s a sniffle against his white uniform, the sodden marks of tears slipping down Kaiser’s face turning the cloth gray.
He wraps his wings around the boy, his feathers soaking up the cold from Kaiser’s body and blocking out the storm. He lifts Kaiser into his arms, tiny arms wrapping around his neck. “No one will hurt you, Michael. I’ll make sure of it.”

Summary
“One day I’ll die, and none of it will matter,” Yoichi cuts in, looking at him with his arms crossed around himself. “The way the doctor kept clearing his throat and it annoyed me, the wasted money I spent on tests, the MRIs, the uncomfortable hospital beds. The teammate that didn’t invite us to his wedding because we would’ve come as a couple, the shot I missed during the Europa league. It won’t matter, because I’ll die and all that I’ll have left of me is the love I gave, and all the love I got. That’s all.”

Summary
“Are you alright?” he asks, taking a careful step forward. Kaiser rolls his eyes, shaking his head like Isagi just asked him what color the sky is. Even without words, Kaiser’s theatrics make it easy to understand him, and even easier to annoy Isagi as usual. “You know, if you weren’t hurt then I’d be glad that you’re finally shutting up.”
Kaiser smirks, picking up a pencil and notepad that was resting in his lap and scribbling on it. When he flips it around, it reads, ‘hardy har.’
____Kaiser damages his vocal cords temporarily, and he can’t speak even to say he doesn’t want Isagi around during the recovery. Or maybe he does, and actions speak louder than words.

Summary
Yoichi could get on just fine without him, but to take him from Michael would be like removing the supporting piece from a deck of cards. Watch it all crumble down.
Love is loud, it devours; wholly and entirely, and Michael was just a victim now as he has been his entire life. The last thing Yoichi needed was to peel the layers back and look too deeply inside. He might not like all the rot he’s bound to find.

Summary
Dark hair, shorter than average height (at least for Germany), a face that seems so… forgettable at first glance. Kind of like gray paint. The boy looks up, his expression flickering between confusion and politeness. His hands hesitate over the laces of his cleats, and something about that slight pause irritates Kaiser for no good reason. Or maybe it was because this boy seemed to belong here in a way Kaiser didn’t—too at ease with this bland, second-rate environment. At being under a roof that didn’t leak, with strangers who might want to harm him, who were all out to crush each other in some way.
Kaiser scans the room briefly before his eyes land on the boy officially. “This the right dorm?”
“Uh… yeah,” the boy says, still caught off guard. “Are you... new?”
“No, I just thought I’d drag all my stuff here for fun,” he replies dryly, stepping inside without waiting for an invitation. He sets his suitcase down with a thud, and his duffel bag follows soon after.
