“I don’t…” Oscar started but quickly shut himself up again. He couldn’t say it. However, Carlos’ intense stare, a silent demand to continue speaking, made Oscar part his lips again. “I don’t… know why I like it so much.”
It was a whispered confession that felt louder than sirens going off.
“Good thing I do,” Carlos replied, continuing to bore holes into Oscar, who felt like a deer in headlights. “You like it so much because you enjoy feeling like a girl occasionally… like my girl, to be specific.”
Oscar let out a huff. This was ridiculous. There was no way he would ever want to feel like Carlos' … girl.

Alex is convinced the divorce was just two emotionally constipated idiots refusing to talk — so he’s taking matters into his own hands. Expect meddling, sabotage, accidental therapy sessions, and an alarming amount of secondhand embarrassment.

The hand on his neck tightens its grip, and Max leans in close enough that Oscar can feel how his mouth moves as he speaks, “You won’t, I won’t let you.”
