Vincent took a couple of deep breaths. There was no need. No need to substitute one drug with another. He would survive without Leo's intense stare prying him open and baring his soul. Without fangs gently grazing his skin before piercing it, bringing the sweet pain that burned through his system and sent him tumbling into oblivion.
I love the themes in this fanfic, chapter five was probably my favorite because of Vincent’s jealousy of a pig, not feeling good enough even as a walking blood bag. I love their relationship dynamics here, probably one of my favorite A Way Out fanfics! And all the art work this fic inspired is amazing. Would recommend this fic and the game <3

Summary
A year after the Winter Soldier failed his mission in DC, Bucky Barnes is doing his best to stay under the radar from both Hydra and Steve Rogers. His hope for a peaceful day-to-day life in limbo goes awry, however, when he meets Queens’ newest hero; a pure-hearted kid with a death wish and a ridiculous pair of red and blue pajamas.
The last thing Steve expects when he finally tracks Bucky down is that, not only has the man been living in Queens all this time, right under his nose, but also that, in the two years since they last saw each other, Bucky somehow acquired a kid.
Alternatively: How Peter Parker effectively fucks over Bucky Barnes, and also totally saves him.

Beautiful work. The writing was perfect, as was the pacing. There is very little Bucky/Steve and it wasn’t very developed imo, but it’s amazing for a winterdad fic. I didn’t even remember to annotate because I was so eager to get to the next chapter. Would recommend to those who like Bucky & Peter and focus on them and their character arcs rather than the other relationships, and to those who need Bucky to have comfort :)
