So, just this once, he decides to break his principles and go above the law. He kidnaps Light and takes him to Wammy's house.
He's sure that having the kids interact with a real-life mass murderer will be a very educational experience indeed.
Or: Light is Kira, L is sick of how easily manipulated the police are, and he secretly wants to see what will happen if he forces Light into a domestic situation with children just as intelligent as he is.

"What the hell happened? I'm fuckin' tiny!" All Jason had on was his Wonder Woman shirt from earlier, and that was just barely staying on. Jason slumped against the wall, feeling the frustration bubble in his chest. He was tiny, injured, confused, nearly naked, and alone in an alley. This wasn't good.
"I found him!" a voice shouted at the same time as light showered over Jason from above. He looked up quickly in shock. He knew that voice.
'You have got to be kidding me.' Jason thought. The light lowered slightly and he saw the smiling face of the one and only Officer Dick Grayson above him.

Summary
"I kill so others don't have to," Bruce states firmly and clearly. This entire situation didn't seem like it could get any more bizarre, what with Bruce sitting in the dark and polishing guns, but somehow it just has, "While you are here you will not kill."
Jason's throat is scratchy and dry with terror, but the insatiable feeling of being talked over and disregarded is a fresh wound. He can't back down from this if he tried, "I've killed. I still kill. Who the fuck do you think you are to stop me?"
Bruce gently sets down his gun, and picks up the blade beside him with practised ease. Jason's blood runs cold when the man wearing his father's face says, "You will die by my hand if you try."
(Jason meets a version of Bruce who has manifested his fears very differently.)

Summary
Dante wasn’t expecting his brother to turn up unannounced. Especially not with a sixteen-year-old in tow. Because, yeah, apparently he has a son now – a hothead whose mother has just gone missing. Which is, of course, Vergil’s fault. So now his brother’s stuck raising a kid he ‘claims’ he doesn’t want while simultaneously giving Dante hassle about a case he’s being forced to solve. And the angry teenager? Well he just continues to eat all his pizza and make a mess of his poor goddamn shop. But hey, family is never easy, right? And whoever said that Vergil wouldn’t make a great dad?
