Summary
Byleth had joined the Black Eagles on her return to the monastery after a five-year gap in their push to finish their course and end the war to Edelgard's benefit. Yet, as the war pushed on, Byleth began to question this decision as one thing after another began to raise questions. When things began to come to a near conclusion, with more information coming to light yet withheld from the others while blame was placed elsewhere, she began to believe she had made an error in judgment. An error that brings her directly to Dimitri.
How had everything gotten so tangled in her mind? She had always been so calculating, even when her father had handled everything. Her ability to perceive and negotiate actions and reactions had always been sharp. Somehow, this entire crusade was coming into question. Something just didn’t quite add up.
