    Summary

Home. It's such an easy thing to take for granted, until you find yourself without.

Estelle had lost a lot, and in turn lost herself. When Grandpa Murray gave her a chance to reclaim her life, the best she was hoping for was a stable roof over her head. But there was something about the crisp valley air, the kindness of strangers, and the shy smiles of a dark-haired boy that made her think there might be more for her in Pelican Town than she had imagined.

Note: This fic was originally published in 2018. I have updated the publication date to reflect a major edit, including several rewritten/expanded scenes.

    Summary

The more Sebastian talked to you, the more he let you in. And the more he let you in, the more of him you saw. And the more of him you saw, the more of him you wanted to see.

That’s what liking is, you think. That’s why you say, I think.

Sebastian squints. Probably at a wayward semicolon that kept breaking the whole damn program. He rubs his eyes, pulls his hands away from his keyboard. “Did you say you like me?”

    Shit.

Or, three times you think something about Sebastian, and one time you know it.
