Seokjin took a step back. His throat clenched, coiling hard like a snake around his words. Being blasted by cold water wouldn't have hurt half as much.
What Yoongi needed protection from, apparently, was him.
He tried to breathe again but couldn't, and that's when the epiphany punched him as if it had been trained to by Jungkook.
Technically, there were two epiphanies. The most pressing one was that it was dangerous to have epiphanies while in the middle of chewing, because now he was choking on a piece of chicken.
The other epiphany, only slightly less immediately dire, was that he had truly fucked up his friendship with Yoongi the night they slept together.
