Summary
“How do I know?” The kid spits, knife raised again, trembling violently. His eyes are wet, angry and pleading and piercing right down into Grian’s soul.
“...If I can fly?” Grian asks, confused. His heart is beating fast.
The boy shakes his head violently, taking a lurching step forward, now only a few feet away. Something about his eyes almost seems familiar, but the thought is fleeting. The knife looks sharp. The child is crying, slow tears that barely have an effect on his voice.
“No,” the kid says forcefully. “How do I know you’re not a zombie?”
OR,
A young Scar fresh from a world overtaken by zombies stumbles through The Rift onto Hermitcraft, and is quickly adopted by the rest of the Hermits, who have no idea who he actually is.

Summary
Scar knows a lot of things. For example, bananas are, botanically speaking, berries, while strawberries are technically classified as nuts. He is full of these odd facts. Did you know an octopus has three hearts–two that pump blood to the gills and one for the rest of its body? Or that, in the summer, the Eiffel Tower can stretch a few inches taller as the metal expands in the heat? He even knows that it rains diamonds on Jupiter and Saturn.
But there is one thing Scar knows for sure: He doesn’t have all the answers. Sure, he knows a lot of random little facts, but there is just as much he doesn’t understand. Like, how on earth do you solve a Rubik’s cube? Which Star Wars movie is his favorite? How did math get so annoyingly difficult? But the biggest mystery at the moment: How did he end up in this mess?

Summary
Yes it’s often a joke- Scar doesn’t light a build, he creates an accidental mob farm, he gets caught in a deathloop, a random hermit notices and saves him. A classic tale. Everybody laughs. They tell him to light things better. He yells about the mood of the build, or that he thought he placed enough torches below something. They all move on and nobody blinks when it happens again next week.
But Scar has something he would hate to admit- That he thinks a few may have caught onto by now- But they don’t ask and he won’t ever ever say it aloud.

Summary
“What voices, Scar?” Martyn asks again, a bit closer now, snapping him back to attention.
“You— You know the Secret Keeper voices? When you succeed your task?” Scar asks, the words practically bursting out of him, propelled by the pressure of being kept at bay for so long.
Martyn’s eyes narrow just slightly, his gaze flickering to the Secret Keeper and then back. “Yeah, I’ve heard ‘em. We all have, far as I can tell.”
Scar nods and swallows, pasting on a shaky grin. “I hear them all the time.”
