Summary
Tim Drake had thought he could handle a patrol on his own, especially after Robin is unexpectedly taken from him and given to Damian. Sneaking out for patrol and attending to an Arkham Asylum breakout on his own had seemed like a good idea at the time—until the gas took hold, twisting reality and turning shadows into menacing figures that followed his every move. Desperate and afraid, he sought refuge in an alley, prepared to wait out the night.
Enter Danny, a barista whose past brings up more questions than answers. Somehow, his presence scares away the figures, and once he figures out that Robin's been drugged, he refuses to leave his side. From there, it's easy for Tim to make small talk and banter with Danny, becoming almost-friends, and eventually sharing things with each other that they'd never told anyone before.
Tim is 100% sure this will have no repercussions on his life. It's just one night where he can pretend to be a normal teenager. He's never going to see Danny after this, anyways. Civilian-vigilante friendships rarely work out.Right?

Considering how many of the Bats and the Birds have died and come back to life, it was only a matter of time for some people interested in the afterlife to come poking around. The detectives can't seem to uncover any information about the mysterious white vans, however.
And they keep losing the mysterious boy who seems to be the one person in Gotham to know anything at all.

[PREVIOUSLY KNOWN AS 'CREATURE OF WINTER']Death thought that he had managed to avert the crisis rather well, all things considered. Harry Potter was dead, sure, but the boy's lack of a beating heart was hardly that much of a issue in the greater scheme of things. Really, it was Death's opinion that his master had been improved upon in death, now that he was without pesky things like a heartbeat or blood.
Though, it certainly brought in a great deal of questions regarding the boy's mortality when he got up every morning to eat breakfast.

Summary
Before Harry Potter, The Boy Who Lived (twice), could kill the Dark Lord, Voldemort, he was hit with a spell that made his life flip upside down. When Draco Malfoy sees Harry's resurrected state he runs toward him only to be hit with the same spell. Now Hogwarts has two students, an unlikely pair, who somehow understand each other better than anybody else. They share the same connection, the same slight difference. The summer after the seventh year both students are still unaware the other was hit because at the moment nobody noticed. Now they can communicate in a way much different from their peers. Will their loss of such a vital yet overlooked part of themselves bring them closer or cause them to drift farther and farther apart?
