Summary
“Explain yourself,” she said shoving a handful of paperwork into his chest.
Buck takes a second before taking a look at the paperwork. The first page was filled with small text with legal jargon that he frankly didn’t have a ton of interest in. However, the big bold letters at the top of the page sparked his interest: DISCLOSURE OF FRATERNATIZION.
He flipped the page, seeing a half-filled out form. Bobby’s signature was the only one at the bottom of the form, with two lines next to it, presumably for the two parties in the relationship to sign. And then Buck saw it.
His name and Eddie’s name. Filled in at the top of the form as party A and B.

OR Bobby left behind half-filled out fraternization paperwork for Buck and Eddie. Buck obviously doesn't spiral about it. (He absolutely spirals.) -

Summary
"He wanted to go after her, chase her down like the men did in the movies he watched and the books she read. But this wasn't a film or a book; this was the real world. And in this world, he had hurt her and she had hurt him in ways that a romantic monologue couldn't fix. Fiction hadn't taught him how to fix any of this."

Summary
“Chris,” Eddie says, nudging him. “You wanna say hi? Properly?”
Christopher flips him off, discreetly, and then to Theo he says very sweetly, “Hi, Theo.”
Buck’s heart swells to thrice the size of whatever it was, and he’s hit with a rush of love so intense he’s tearing up with it. Eddie’s no better, eyes sparkling.
“Hi,” Theo says, and then presses himself back towards Buck, clutching his spider–man tightly. “You’re Buck’s big best friend.”
Christopher grins. “I am, yeah,” he says, cheesing so hard. “You’re Buck’s tiny best friend, aren’t you?”
Theo nods shyly. “Yeah.”
Christopher holds out his hand, tilting his head. “I’m Chris,” he says, and Theo takes it, his small hand cradled perfectly in Christopher’s palm. “What’s your name?”
“Hi Kiss,” Theo says, in awe. “My name is Theo.”
—theo meets the diazes.

Summary
“You got one too,” Theo pointed, touching the beauty mark under Eddie’s eye.
Eddie felt his cheeks go red. “Not a birthmark, just a mark.”
“I want it,” Theo said determinedly, walking back to the table to grab his pens. Eddie really should have told him to stop drawing on his face, but he just watched in awe as Theo grabbed a brown marker and ran off to the bathroom.
When Theo returned to the living room a few moments later, he had drawn a small, brown dot underneath his eye to match Eddie’s. He was looking up at Eddie through his lashes, beaming with pride at the spot he’d created.
Eddie lost it.
OR; Eddie Diaz knows he is in love with Evan Buckley. Theo's cuteness sends him into a crisis. He's a yearner, your honour.

Summary
Eddie stood, taking the phone from the girl’s hand as he gave her a polite smile. “Thank you so much.”
“Of course,” she told him. “Your sons are the cutest; I hope you can bring them back again with your partner soon.”
Eddie felt himself go through whatever the physical equivalent of a bluescreen was in that moment. He felt something hit him square in the chest as his cheeks began to tingle at the implication.
She thought- she thought that Theo was his son…. And that Buck was his partner.
Oh.

Summary
“But… you’re straight.”
Eddie snorts, taking a sip of his beer. “I am well aware of that, Buck.”
“So why do you want to take me on dates?” Buck asks incredulously. “Won’t that make you uncomfortable?”
That makes Eddie sit up straighter, a frown playing on his lips. “I already told you that you being into men changes nothing between us. I meant that.”
“Okay, fine, great. That doesn’t mean you have to start buying me romantic dinners.”
“I don’t have to do anything,” Eddie points out. “I want to. At the very least so that you understand what romance really looks like and don’t settle for a dickwad like Tommy ever again.”

OR: After his breakup with Tommy, Buck tells Eddie all the ‘romantic’ things Tommy did for him. Eddie is not impressed and takes matters into his own hands.
