Summary
Leslie ignores him as he scouts the pile of papers for more incriminating evidence. “Music really moves people. For example, Spotless by Donghyuck Lee just came on and I stood up to turn that shit off.”
Someone hides their laugh in a cough, and Leslie casts a menacing glance across the room in search of the culprit. Minutes pass in silence, half of which Donghyuck spends wiping tears from his eyes. No, Mark isn’t lying. Either Donghyuck installed tear ducts for this special occasion, or he’s a crazy good actor. Seeing as he’d rather die than claim the second option, he sticks with the tear duct transplant story. Dude is just sitting there with two extra ducts like the dumbass he is.
—
Tensions rise when Mark’s burner account is exposed, and he’s forced to date his musical rival to save his image.

Summary
“You wrote,” Renjun said, leaning over just enough to read, "that he's chronically unhelpful.”
“He is,” Donghyuck said. “He keeps not reacting.”
Renjun turned his head slowly. “Do you hear yourself when you talk?”
“Only when other people aren’t interrupting me.”
In a little cottage at the edge of the woods, Donghyuck sells love spells, confession charms, and romantic remedies. His magic is famously effective... Except, for reasons both maddening and deeply offensive, it doesn’t work on Mark.
Mark, the village’s gentle half-stag forest guardian, is untouched by every charm, enchanted tea, and carefully disguised magical experiment Donghyuck throws his way, which means Donghyuck is forced to do the only sensible thing: become obsessed.
As it turns out, magic can’t deepen a heart that’s already quietly in love. And Mark’s heart has been devoted to Donghyuck for much longer than Donghyuck ever realized.

Summary
“There’s a situation,” Mark tells Jaemin over the phone.
“Did you fall down the stairs again?” Jaemin asks.
“No,” Mark says, and glances over at Donghyuck. “It’s—well, there’s a zombie, for one—”
“A what—”
“And, uh, in my previous life, we dated,” Mark continues. “Apparently.”
There’s silence on the other end of the phone.
“For the record,” Donghyuck points out, “I’m not a zombie.”(or: donghyuck hops out casket-fresh, and mark starts to believe, just a little, in soulmates.)

Summary
"I don't know!" Mark's breath hitched as Donghyuck's hand reached out to make contact with the decaying part of his wing. He quickly slapped Donghyuck's hand away. "I don't know what you want from me, but you did this. You touched my wings and you make me…" A heavy lump formed in his throat and he felt himself tense further. "I want you. In ways that aren't normal. In ways that I can't truly want."
"I don't understand how it's my fault that you find me attractive." Donghyuck's jaw tightened visibly and his eyes narrowed. "You're allowed to like people, aren't you? Or is that banned up here, too?"
"I can't want you the way that you make me want you."
Or; Mark Lee is a pure angel. He strives to be the best, to prove to everyone and himself that he is worthy of worshipping the Gods. Lee Donghyuck changes things.
