He shakes his head to clear his thoughts. "Sorry, Tsukki," he begins. "I'm just thinking."
Yamaguchi feels the covers move behind him. "It can't wait 'til the morning?" Tsukishima mumbles.
"No," Yamaguchi sighs, feeling brave in the dark room. "That's exactly the problem. Tomorrow is—tomorrow."

Summary
Four years ago, Kozume Kenma and Kuroo Tetsurou broke up. It was over the phone, late at night, and both of them were very tired for very different reasons. Kenma hasn't heard from Kuroo since. And judging by the way it all went down, he doesn't think he ever will.
Until an invitation arrives in Kenma's mail, inviting him and Kuroo to Hinata and Kageyama's wedding, and Kenma realizes that he has conveniently forgotten to tell anyone that he and Kuroo broke up. So what does Kenma do instead of the clearly rational thing and just telling Hinata the truth? He calls Kuroo for the first time in four years to get him to pretend that they're still together.
The most surprising part? Kuroo agrees to it.

Summary
Kenma didn’t like parties, not that he had ever been to one, but he just knew that he would hate them. It was all just bad food, bad alcohol, loud music, and loud people. Kenma didn’t like noise. And besides, he knew who would be there, and he tried his best to avoid Tetsuro Kuroo at all costs.
Just the thought of the bastard, with his stupid silky black hair and demonic sexy smirk made Kenma’s stomach knot and his lip curl with disgust. Usually, after somebody’s best friend leaves them alone to get eaten alive by bullies, they don’t like them anymore. And they definitely still don’t have a stupid, five year long, unrequited crush on them.

Summary
"Ooooh, Akaashi's got a date," Bokuto doesn't really hear the words at first. In fact, he processes them with such shallow intent that he almost laughs at the idea - Akaashi never has dates. Never has plans. He spends all his time with Bokuto.
So the spiker resumes on his merry way, planning out the strawberry smoothie he's going to make when he gets home, blissfully unaware of the words perched on his best friend's tongue, soon to spill off and ruin his entire night.
"Please don't make a big deal out of this," is what Akaashi says next, real heart-stopping words that have Bokuto freezing where he stands, half-naked with his head buried in his locker. "It's just a date."

“Yeah, it did.” Kenma sighs wistfully, and a cocky smile plays at the edges of his lips like he’s proud of the fact that he's shelling out so that Kuroo looks paid for. It makes Kuroo want to give him whatever he wants whenever he wants it. The moon? Deal. The crown jewels? Absolutely. Kuroo’s still beating and bloody heart in the palm of his hand? Done.
“And you don’t mind? Spending this kind of money on me?”
“I just like getting you nice things,” Kenma replies, his voice is quiet, almost like he’s talking to himself, “Is that so bad?”
