Summary
Lucas finally comes back holding a pack of popcorn. “Enjoy your movie, boners.” he says, and smacks it into Mike's palm before closing the door on them.
They hear Max and Lucas snickering through the firmly shut door, too wrapped up in each other to realize the emotional bomb they just dropped on Will.
After about a minute of what feels like stunned silence from the both of them, Mike says, “Don’t listen to them. They don’t know anything about our friendship.”
“Yeah…”
The walk back to the Wheeler house is suspiciously quiet.
--
ORMax points out how clingy Mike and Will are with eachother. Will overthinks it. None of this is good for Mike's emotional well being.

"So after being with her for years, you couldn't even tell her you loved her when she needed it the most?" Will spat back at him.
"I kept looking at her and seeing you. God you look so much alike, whenever I was with her, I kept thinking about you."
"No, don't put this on me. It's not my fault you couldn't tell Jane you loved her," Will replied. "Not even when she was killing herself to save us."
Or
Will wished it had been him instead of Jane.
So does Mike, but in an entirely different way. -

Summary
Michelle Wheeler is an avid hater of many things, including torrid summer days, college parties, and overly vague essay prompts. The list runs long, and it is still growing.
A recent addition to her list made Michelle's world tilt on its axis, disrupting the gravitational force of her judgment — she hates pet names.
Specifically, one petname. And Willow happens to say it all the time.
