They glowered with a maturity Katsuki had only hoped he’d ever achieve. It made him feel small. What was worse was that those were his eyes staring down at him. He’d know them anywhere. And that’s when it struck him that the hero kneeling in front of him wasn’t some doppelgänger. It was Katsuki in the flesh, years from now.

Dialing a wrong number was no unusual occurrence. Everyone did it once in a while, and Katsuki was well aware of that fact.
However, possessing this knowledge made it no less aggravating for him to discover — a full two minutes into his rant about his day — that he’d been venting his frustrations to a complete stranger. As if that wasn't enough, said stranger was also inexplicably determined to hear his story to its end.

“I’ve been thinking”, he starts and Katsuki sits up on the bench, pearls of sweat running down his hot face. Always so goddamn warm.
“You think too much.”
“No, I mean it. I have to talk to you about something.”
“What’s up?”, he repeats. “Spit it out, Deku, I don’t have the whole day."
Izuku takes a moment and looks at him like there aren’t appropriate words in the dictionary for what he’s about to say.
“I got a transfer offer.”---
Katsuki and Izuku have been driving for the same F1 Team forever with Katsuki always winning and Izuku always losing to him because of their "team strategy" or whatever. P1 and P2, week after week, until Izuku announces his transfer and Katsuki's unsure on how to deal with it (and the lingering guilt he's been pushing away since Izuku's accident).
