this fic is my kind of drug. the slow burn, the sex with feelings, the almost kisses... everything. is. just. so. freaking. intense. you know it is good when i had to read each word slowly, just so i can see everything play out in my head in slow motion and feel all the overwhelming emotions Zoro and Sanji are feeling, and wahhh, idk how to express it but it is soooo good! i receive so much emotional gratification from this story and it is so, so, so cathartic and satisfying!
and it has my favourite version of Zoro — straightforward, reliable, stubborn, cocky idiot that is confused by his own feelings, and thinks that love is silly, but ends up being more romantic, sweet, and devoted than the love cook himself...
and my favourite version of Sanji too — strong, resilient, pensive, kind, brave, competitive and ever hopeful for his fairytale romance despite everything he has been through.
this fic will remain as one of my all-time favourite Zosan for sure.

what an unforgettable experience. reading this story one chapter a day, as it is being posted, very nearly killed me. the storytelling here is so clever and unique and i went through all 5 stages of grief as the story unfolds day by day. 10/10 will love to experience this level of obsession and prolonged hope and despair all over again.

this fic has everything i love in a High School AU — years of secret crush and pining from afar, first love, first date, first kiss… the innocent exploration, the fear and uncertainty of future after high school, the close-knit group of friends, protective parents and annoying siblings... i love every single thing about this story. it is so pure and full of love and has the sweetest and happiest ending. i cried from how full my heart felt after reading this. ♥
“You ever feel so happy that dread starts to replace it. Dread that the happiness can’t last? Dread that you’ll never be happier?” He waited for Zoro to process his question.
“We’re 17,” Zoro replied softly.
“And wouldn’t it be so sad if everything went downhill from here?”
“Hey,” Zoro said, lifting Sanji’s face up with a careful hand on his chin, “Ask me again when we’re 22, and then again when we’re 27, and when we’re 100—” Sanji scoffed at this. “Each time we’ll be happier, curly, I promise. Each time I’ll drag you to some open space to dance and step on your toes and tell you you’re handsome and clever and talented and deserve happiness. We might not always be happy, curly, but we’ll be happier with each passing year. At least I will, because I would have spent another year with you.”

Summary
In the dark, low places of the underworld is a club called Sangue Blu, a place where the depraved and the debauched can enjoy themselves with reckless abandon, and enjoy the brutal fights that take place in the infamous pit. Kinn finds himself amongst them, invited by the owner to celebrate a newly formed alliance. He doesn't expect to be entertained by the mindless violence and spectacle, until the next match is announced; a fight to the death, in his honor.
And then he appears; the Phoenix, a man with golden skin and dark eyes and a saunter in his step that makes Kinn's blood hot. He doesn't stand a chance, not against an opponent twice his size, but the arrogant jut of his chin says he believes otherwise.
For the first time in a long time, Kinn feels intrigued.

my heart is racing the entire time i am reading this fic. the fight scenes, sex scenes and their love for one another... everything is so intense and agonizing, it makes me forget to breathe.
this fic will be a multiple rereads for sure. can't get enough of the high.
