To his surprise it wasn’t someone of the X’s protecting their ally staring at Thanos now ready for a fight. No, it was Nam-gyu, who was now rolling on the ground with MG Coin like they were some kind of cats. The sight would have been hilarious if Thanos even had a second to process it, but suddenly Myung-gi was on top of Nam-gyu. Something metallic blinked in Myung-gi’s hand and before Thanos knew it the bastard was impaling Nam-gyu with a fork. The moment stretched out like it was infinite, each strike taking a millennia to reach his friend’s body. It was violent, each hit puncturing a different spot - neck, chest, shoulders. Thanos couldn't look away; it was like watching a car crash from afar, knowing perfectly well, somewhere deep down, that it was you who was supposed to be in that car.
or: both Thanos and Nam-gyu die during the bathroom fight, but the Gods give Thanos another chance at fixing his fate.
