Summary
Ianis Cotto is a sorceror barely in control of his magic at the best of times, and so finding himself leading a dysfunctional band of adventurers on a quest to save the Sword Coast - and themselves - from mind flayers is not something he ever saw himself doing. But responsibilities must, and at least he has Astarion, the vampire he's fallen head-over-heels for at his side. Now if only he could figure out why he's started to feel nauseous in the mornings...
Astarion Ancunin has gone from the proverbial frying pan into the fire. He's finally free from his sadistic master's control and able to walk in the sun for the first time in 200 years... but it came at the cost of being infected with a parasite that will turn him into a different kind of monster if they can't get it removed. Not to mention the fact that, despite his best efforts, he's managed to catch feelings for the distractingly-pretty but clumsy sorceror who seems Hellsbent on getting himself killed while trying to save the world. All he needs to do is not let Ianis know how much he's been lying to him, and not let things get any more complicated than they already are.
