Summary
The picaresque Fionnabhair Lanitarin is perfectly satisfied with an existence of wooing barmaids and robbing coaches when she is ripped from her unburdened lifestyle and forced to play host to an illithid tadpole. Fionn’s days of self-sufficiency are interrupted even further when she finds herself appointed as the reluctant leader of a band of her fellow infected, an unlikely assemblage of desperates who are comforted by her tenacity and undeterred by her libertinism. When the peculiar group finds themselves entrusted with the fate of all of Faerûn, it becomes obvious that they will all need to overcome their personal tribulations if they have any hope of prevailing, a task that requires them to learn arduous lessons in cooperation.
