Summary
Taehyun just wanted to continue to play his instrument once he’d graduated. Cue his best friend Kai Kamal Huening, who offered for Taehyun to join his small band once they graduated. A year later, Taehyun sat nervously in their basement studio, warming up his own instrument.
“Who are we waiting for?”
“Our guitarist, he should be here soon..” Kai muttered.
The moment he made eye contact with said guitarist, Taehyun felt his heart rate skyrocket immediately. He doesn’t know what he anticipated upon meeting any of Kai’s bandmates, but he hadn’t expected to meet probably the prettiest man he’s met in his life.
Or, Taehyun joins his friend’s jazz band, not expecting to fall in love with the guitarist and sort of curate a friends with benefits situation.

Then Ricky moves in Gyuvin's lap in order to reach over and grab his tattoo pen, which results in a whole different set of signals being sent to Gyuvin’s brain. His right hand flies up to take ahold of Ricky’s waist, halting his movement. Ricky raises both brows at him, puzzled.
“Maybe do a little less of that,” Gyuvin breathes out uneasily, eyes shifty.
“A little less of…” Ricky’s eyes steer down towards the point of connect between them, before he trails off half-heartedly.

“I’m sorry,” Soobin said as he placed a sytrofoam cup of black coffee between Yeonjun's feet and tried not to react to the way cigarette smoke stung his throat. “I shouldn’t have come to your house without asking. We’re coworkers and I completely stepped over—”
“No, you didn't. You didn’t do anything wrong... Listen, I–'' There was a heavy weight to Yeonjun’s voice suddenly, but Soobin didn't waver. “I didn’t want you to see any of that. I didn’t even want you to know where I live. Because I don’t– I just don’t want you to think of any of that stuff when you think of me. I don’t want you involved in any of that stuff.”
“Because we’re just coworkers,” Soobin attempted to clarify.
“No, not because of that.”
Yeonjun and Soobin meet the fall after they graduate from the same high school when Soobin picks up a part-time job at the worst coffee shop in town. Soobin is shy, sensitive, and quiet. Yeonjun is brash, loud, and guarded. Soobin's not Yeonjun's type. Soobin hates the Yeonjun from high school. So, why is Soobin the first person who catches Yeonjun when his life falls apart?
