Fraser might not be playing on the same team as Connor anymore, but she can tell when her longtime best friend turned girlfriend is starting to run on fumes. It's probably more obvious to Fraser because she has texts and calls and more interactions to be able to know Connor is running on fumes, but just one look at her girlfriend in a Chicago Riot jersey on the television is enough to tell her Connor needs a break.
She knows that the Riot and the Fleet have about a week together where they're playing each other twice in Boston and Fraser makes a plan to act then, even if it's still a month away.
