"The pressure in his head was overwhelming, eyes felt that heavy bulging pressure that threatened the burst of a blood vessel, but he couldn’t stop. He couldn’t breathe, fuck he couldn’t breathe. Coughing until finally, finally he could get a solid breath, Rafael looked into the bin that had before only held balled up notes. Wet, vibrant yellow petals littered the bin, some vomit from choking stained the yellow paper below, but what Rafael couldn’t ignore was the fully bloomed daisy, the tips of its petals tinted in blood.
He had to go to the doctor, there was no way he could continue to ignore this. No matter how much he wanted to. Fuck he wanted to. Spitting into the bin, Rafael let out a long, heavy exhale, but still he didn’t feel like he could breathe anymore. Not like before. A problem literally bloomed in his chest and refused to let him forget about it. Rubbing his hand across his face, Rafael leaned against his desk and let his head drop back against the solid wood.
