He can't tell if it's luck on his side or an unintended torture when they're goaded to kiss each other, all on full display for the biggest party of the year.

Summary
Jack looks to the future with his entire life packed away, knowing soon he'll part ways for Boston, leaving behind Philadelphia, and most importantly, leaving behind Eric.
But for now, this summer is theirs, and they celebrate their years of best friendship on a 3-week long vacation struggling through buses and trains, each destination of which drives Jack closer and closer to the reality he's tried so hard for so long to deny — he likes Eric, he likes him a lot.
...This realization could not have come at a worse time.

“I am presenting,” Ilya said, reaching for the envelope in Shane’s hands.
Shane pulled his arm back before Ilya could snatch it. “No,” Shane said with a laugh, “I’m pretty sure I am.”
Ilya sighed in frustration, rolling his eyes as he pulled a folded sheet of paper from his pocket. “Look at the schedule!” He pointed dramatically. “Hollander–Rozanov!”
“Uh, no,” Shane said, putting his finger to the page. “It says Hollander–Rozanov.”
