Summary
At first, Jongin thought they were dismounting a horse, but as strong arms held him and slid off the mount to the ground - he knew that this beast was far, far larger than any horse.
Dragon.
Panic welled up in him. Dragons lived on the other side of the border. He was no longer home.
“So we meet again.” The bastard could not even meet his eyes. “Jongin, if I’m not mistaken?”
Jongin clenched his fists. “You have taken my city. My home.”
“I have barely done anything,” Sehun laughed dryly. “But do not take it personally. I am sure that your emperor would’ve leapt at the chance to crush the warlords and burn their dragons. War has always been this way - it functions only upon loss.”
As his kingdom falls, perhaps as it was always doomed to, Jongin the Imperial Healer must find his new purpose. However, he had not anticipated for the golden-eyed dragonrider to be so tangled within his destiny.
Sequel to Dragonsbane.
