With Taehyun still processing whatever the fuck happened a while ago, all while being eaten by his feelings at once, he needs to breathe.
And for him to breathe, he needs to say—
"Mahal kita."
"Ano?" Beomgyu asks out in a light tone.
But you will never catch a Kang Taehyun gamble everything in two slipped words over his hard work.
So, he scoffs and rolls his eyes at Beomgyu begrudgingly. He didn't expect his first confession to go in a waste bin just like that. "Wala. Sabi ko Mukhang tanga."Or
Three times Taehyun denies his growing crush on his childhood best friend and one time he confesses from one unserious kiss.

Summary
Taehyun is a normal person.
He is calm, cool, and collected on a daily basis that his friends have to extract a reaction out of him to check if he can, in fact, react to an extreme extent – e.g. tickle him, throw him in a haunted house – but the latter can cause more injuries, Kai can attest to that. So you can say he is a pretty chill guy, and you’ll just have to press certain buttons to tick him off just like any other normal person.
Taehyun can be an overthinker at times, but fortunately, he is awfully self-aware of said overthinking tendencies that can come across as helpful for others when it comes to analyzing situations. However, for this particular instance, he is not overthinking and he is definitely not overreacting.
The Beomgyu beside him is not the Beomgyu that he knows.
