Summary
A modern AU in which the five great clans function as regional political powers rather than cultivation sects. When an altercation between clan heirs ends in the accidental death of Wen Chao — Wen Ruohan's last surviving son — Wen Ruohan demands compensation from the Yunmeng Jiang Clan: Jiang Cheng's hand in marriage. Jiang Fengmian agrees. Jiang Cheng, practical enough to know the math and proud enough not to fall apart about it, prepares to marry a man he expects to survive.
What he doesn't prepare for is Wen Ruohan paying attention. The engagement terms are real, the power imbalance is real, and the rules are not negotiable — but something is shifting anyway, slowly and against both of their expectations, in the space between who they thought the other was and who they keep finding instead.

Summary

Summary
In the aftermath of a war he won, Wen Ruohan punishes the clans who opposed him by taking a male concubine from each of them. Meng Yao is awarded Lan Xichen for his loyalty during the war while Wen Ruohan gets three from the remaining clans. Jiang Cheng is one of Wen Ruohan’s three concubines — a political acquisition, a display of power, a consequence of defeat. What neither of them anticipates is what the months that follow will build. This is a story about power and captivity and the particular stubbornness of genuine feeling, about a man who was never seen accurately by the people who should have seen him and a man who, for reasons that began as interest and became something considerably larger, chose to look.

Summary

Summary
In which King Viserys, First of His Name, King of the Andals, the Rhoynar, and the First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms and Protector of the Realm, orders Prince Aemond of House Targaryen to wed Prince Lucerys of House Velaryon in an effort to mend the tear in their family. The outcome he gets from this union is rather different than what anyone expected.
Tldr: The people of Westerosi have no idea how genetics work, and it kind of ruins Otto’s long-term plans for world domination when the children of Luke and Aemond are born looking more Velaryon than anyone expected.

Summary
The only reason Jiang Cheng enrolled in this ridiculously hard math class anyway is because of his father. Jiang Fengmian won’t allow his son to enroll in any class but the one Wen Ruohan (his old rival) teaches.
Come on. This really has nothing to do with Jiang Cheng!
Yet somehow, it does. Because Jiang Cheng can’t seem to get his professor out of his head.
