Summary
Most of the kids were not interested in whatever bullshit career opportunities he was telling them about, either fucking around on their phones or awkwardly flirting with one another. There was only one boy that seemed fascinated, not so much with the career in Navy, though, but definitely with Bond. The smartarse was gorgeous, which was lucky for him, as he was also irritating as fuck, with the know-it-all attitude and sarcastic comments muttered seemingly to himself.

“They warned me about you,” he says. “What you might do.
“Murder?” Bond asks.
“Seduction.”
“Ah.” Bond leans against the desk, supporting himself with one hand, in a manner that usually lets people know what his intentions are. Q looks him up and down and raises his brows.
“Exhibit A,” Q says, and looks pointedly at Bond’s hips.
“You can’t say it isn’t working,” Bond says.
“No. I can’t.”_________________
Love, in all of it's previous forms, has always screwed Bond over. So when he first kisses Q it's to get away from it, not to fall into it. Bond is, however, not known for his great emotional foresight.

Clearly he hadn’t been expecting such a direct approach and Q presses on before he has a chance to recover. “However, when it happens it will happen on my terms.”
There was definitely a significant gap between the time Bond was breaking down over M's death in the chapel to the time a confident Bond walked into Mallory's office to accept his newest assignment. What, or more importantly, who, put him back together again? Basically, lots of porn with plot.

James lies back, his eyes heavy and wary, and Q is in no hurry kissing him, and then later in kissing his way down his body. His weary, tired body, sculpted and scarred, and Q cannot help an appreciative noise as he noses into the nest of hair surrounding James's prick and inhales. He smells clean and of Q's jasmine and rose body wash and still like himself underneath the flowery scent. Q closes his eyes as he noses the wiry curls, breathing in the pheromones, and he's hard, as hard as he's going to get, because it's been weeks and he now has his James in his bed to do what he wants with.
