Kaeya grinned at him with a cheeky expression. For some reason his little boy had gotten into his head the deranged idea that he wanted to marry Diluc.
"Kaeya, dear, once again, I am only interested in men over the age of thirty, sorry for the inconvenience."
"So? By the time I turn thirty, you'll be fourty-two. Just give up and wait for me."
Tragically, as they both were, Diluc wasn't the one who ended up doing the waiting. But Kaeya was a very dedicated man either way.

It started with a glance that lingered a little too long.
Kaeya tried to not think about it too much. The Grand Master always cared a lot for everyone, he was like a father to all. Or the cool protective uncle who was always ready to back them up in everything. Or an older brother who teased and petted their heads and pretended not to notice their vulnerabilities but always cared to soothe them.
So no, Varka wasn't staring at Diluc with heat in his eyes. He felt ridiculous for even having entertained the thought in his mind, even for a second.

Diluc is sweet. He's kind and innocent and so pure in a way that makes Kaeya want to run his sword through anyone who so much as attempts to touch him with their tainted hands.
In a way, he pities all the bugs attracted to him, because all of this is natural to Diluc and his kind words, his sweet smiles, have no real meaning or intention behind them. No one's as special as Diluc might unintentionally make them believe.
Still, ignorance isn't a sin Kaeya can forgive, not when it comes to Diluc. He can't, however, chop up the bugs like he wants to, so he'll settle for making sure at least Diluc understands.

Or, Diluc is an omega, Kaeya is his alpha, and yet people still think it okay to try and lay their hands on Diluc, and while Kaeya can’t cut up everyone who dares, he certainly can make sure Diluc’s eyes never stray.Series
