Summary
It's 1988 when Corroded Coffin has become one of the most prominent bands in under two years. The band is ending their first world tour when Eddie faces a near-death experience, causing his bandmates to call in his Uncle to help him see just how bad he had gotten with the drugs over that short amount of time. Wayne suggests Eddie comes back to Hawkins to escape the life under the spotlight for a few months which Eddie eventually agrees to, expecting none of his friends from before he left wanting to talk to him - except Dustin of course. When back in Hawkins, one of the first people he sets out to talk to is Cassie Henderson, his girlfriend, or rather, ex-girlfriend from the blowout fight he'd caused between them just a few days before he left Hawkins for good. While he still loves her despite the ass he made of himself that night, he can only imagine that Cassie feels nowhere near the same as him, along with the rest of the group that Eddie had cut off.
