“The booking?” Johnny shoots Mark a look, smiling deprecatingly, like get a load of what I have to deal with, like Donghyuck is his loud-mouthed, nagging wife.
When Johnny offers him another wad of money, Mark shakes his head no. Too many lines have been crossed and… this is so fucked up. Jesus.
Johnny rolls his eyes and waves the money again. Then he whispers, low enough that the receiver won’t catch it while Donghyuck’s endless ranting continues, “Keep it, buy yourself something nice.”
Mark, with the reluctance of an abused dog taking a hamburger slice, cautiously and slowly accepts the money. His heart threatens to explode when Johnny winks and gives his waist a squeeze.
Fuck, it’s a lot of money.
