His knees are still bent, feet planted firmly in the grass, but he’s leaned back on the log, arms crossed tightly over his lower stomach and neck craned, head resting on the tough bark and face turned to the sky. And he’s flushed. You’ve never seen him so red, a crimson stain from his collar to his cheeks all the way to the tips of his ears.
