Grace nods, but that familiar fear is creeping up on him. The one that visits him when his head hits the pillow, that makes him feel like he's just stalling the inevitable. It's silly.
All he has to do is not starve on the way to Erid. Then he'll be the only human on the planet. For the rest of his life. Which is not scary at all.

X can lie. He can lie about a lot of things, even to himself. He tries not too based on morals, but he can. Not this though, this is way to big to sweep under the rug and ignore.
