There’s a knock at the door.
Crowley pauses. Heaven is polite; they’d give him a chance, or at least the pretense of a chance, before outright incinerating him. Maybe some bargaining, or an attempt at manipulation. But, knocking?
He opens the door.
“Crowley,” Aziraphale whispers.
He closes the door.
It’s not – this can’t actually be happening. It’s been three days. Is that really what Crowley is worth to Aziraphale – that it takes three entire days before he realizes that he’s made a mistake and wants to come crawling back?
Aziraphale realizes he's made a mistake, and comes to make amends to Crowley.

Summary
A beat of silence between them, where the only noise came from Eve, still sobbing into the earth. Then, “Oh.”
“Yes?” Aziraphale couldn’t help the worry in his voice.
“Oh.” Suddenly, Crawley sank to his knees. His eyes were wide, the slits of them impossibly thin. “Oh.”
Aziraphale joined him on the ground. He attempted to make eye contact with the demon, but he seemed…far away. He placed a hand on Crawley’s own, which finally attracted his attention, though his brows had knit together and his lips were pressed into a taut, pained line. “Crawley, are you all right?”
“That’s. That. Fuck!” Crawley jerked backwards, clutching at his belly much as Eve was. “God, Satan, all of the bloody angels—that hurts.”

In a display of solidarity with Eve, whom the Almighty cursed not only with pain in childbearing but also painful menstruation, Crowley decided he, too, as an accomplice to the human's sins, would endure menstrual pangs.

“Uhm…”, he hesitated, squeezing his eyes shut. He had to do this, he had to. He didn’t want to lie, it wouldn’t feel right. He wanted the Alpha to like his real self, not a fake one. Even if it seemed hopeless, he just had to try. He had to. Breathing in deeply and squeezing his eyes shut he willed the words out of his mouth.
