Lizzie makes sympathetic noises and plies her with tissues, and Taggie holds them to her face one-handed and apologizes over and over again, mortified to be such trouble and then to be sobbing all over James’ car besides, while Lizzie assures her over and over, harried as she tries to navigate them to the hospital, that it’s no trouble at all, that this is what friends are for, that of course Taggie doesn’t have to be sorry for getting hit by a car.
“Only a little bit hit by a car,” Taggie interjects wetly.

Summary
Taggie was in the kitchen when it began. The Venturer team was around the table, the structured meeting long since devolved to drinks and picking at the remaining food from the dinner she prepared.
Only a few people remained when Taggie felt the telltale nausea creeping in. Her face and neck were suddenly quite warm, and she knew she was already too late to take one of the few remaining migraine pills she kept for emergencies, having not had the time to go to the local doctor for a new script since they moved.
“Angel? Tag?”
The smooth, rich voice broke through the haze she was under, along with the pressure of a calloused hand on her wrist.
“Christ,” he muttered. “Angel, you’re white as a sheet. What’s the matter?”
Or, Taggie gets migraines. Rupert is there to help.

“So, you gonna tell us what got you throwing hands, huh?” JJ spoke, voice quiet and Kie felt his breath huff over her cheeks, he was so close. “Did someone insult the turtles?”
“C’mon, Rocky, let’s get you properly cleaned up.”“Jay, I’m fine,” she told him tiredly and she ignored how Sarah scoffed. She pulled at her shirt the same way John B had done, jerked when the fabric stuck to the drying blood that stained her side.
JJ laughed humourlessly, flashed his teeth at her in a grin that showed no mercy. “Like hell you are, Kie, now move before I make you.”
Kie gets herself into a fight and JJ is there to patch her up, of course. In fact, JJ's the only one she'll let help her. A collection of JJ and Kiara patching each other up after their daily disasters.
