another one of my headcanons is that Will is a late bloomer, presenting at seventeen. it comes as a big surprise, since everyone just assumed at this point that he must be a beta. he gets his first heat unexpectedly – on the bright side, it hits while he's in the safety of his own house. the catch is that his family is out of town and Mike is over.
it's not as dirty as it sounds. it's actually kinda sweet. people need more sweet.

my headcanon is that Mike gets Will pregnant as soon as fucking possible and when he does, he goes absolutely feral. Will just has to move into his house immediately, he has to be in Mike's line of sight at all times. Will doesn't lift a single finger in that house, he can't even change his clothes on his own anymore, that's what he’s got his alpha for, right? it’s a damn miracle that Mike lets their friends come over, this guy is fucking nuts

“You sure look freaked out.” Mike mutters ironically.
“You could always just lick it,” Will lifts his hand in the air, presenting the blood trickling down his wrist, purposely ignoring Mike. “It would be a shame to let it go to waste, wouldn't it? You're already here.” he shrugs, “Might as well.”***
Mike's half convinced that his best friend makes himself bleed on purpose with a sole goal of pissing Mike off – enough to make him snap and fuck Will silly. Like really, reallyyy, silly.
Mike's actually right this time.

Summary
Will levels him with his heated gaze but the boy is unbothered, blinking at him with his hair disheveled, completely obvious to the want he fills Will with.
Mike takes his hand back, but doesn't move away.
“Let me help you with your jacket.” Mike requests.
Will's brows shot up his forehead.
“Help, how?”
“Like, help you take it off.”
Will lets a beat pass, just looking into Mike's eager eyes.
“You want to help me undress?” he smiles suggestively.
Mike falters in his movements.
“I–” his eyes search Will's face, his gaze settling down on Will's lips. “Yeah.” he breathes out.
“Okay,” Will looks at him from underneath his eyelashes, blinking up at him. “Go for it.”***
Will and Mike go off to college together, just like they always planned to do.
They share a dorm, past traumas and love for each other.
While Will is trying to find a certain steadiness and sense of comfort in the life ‘after the Upside Down’, things with Mike get gradually more complicated (in a good way). -

"Need a light?" MJ looks down at the joint in Will's hands, confused.
"Oh, right now?" Will startles, looking at the door handle.
"Are you always this jumpy? Man, you really need this, huh? C'mere." Will hesitates. MJ sighs, reaching for the joint in Will's lap and feeding it to him.
He sparks the lighter and holds it to the end of the freshly rolled joint. Will watches his eyes on the flame, unsure what to do next. "Breathe in." MJ demands through an airy laugh, waiting for the end of the joint to glow before leaning back in his seat.

“You’re thinking,” Will says, skating a finger down the line of Mike’s nose, under his eye, over his cheekbone, then resting, finally, just at the corner of his lips– “about me.”
Oh, Jesus. Mike’s throat is very, very dry. “What?”
Will opens his eyes – slow, a little hesitant – and smiles. “You are,” he says, way, way too smug for Mike’s liking. “You’re turning red!”
“Shut up,” Mike mutters, and Will’s smile grows. “You– I’m just nervous!”
It should be illegal for someone to look this pleased with themselves. “Yeah?” Will says quietly, index finger still hovering at the corner of Mike’s mouth, thumb pressed gently under his chin. “I make you nervous?”
Mike thinks Will might be psychic. (Kind of.) Will is being very irritatingly vague about the whole thing.

He gapes as they separate, and before he can stop himself, he blurts out, “Did– did you just–”
They turn to him, the paladin scrunching his brow in annoyance, and the words die on his tongue. Maybe it’s his head, maybe he really is going insane, but Mike knows what he just saw, and suddenly a couple other moments click into place in his brain– a place only for us, sleep alone tonight, we would not be wed were I truly a prince–
“Wait, are you guys dating?”
Will blinks at him, the same bemused expression from before on his face. Michael looks a little taken aback, as though this wasn’t what he was expecting, but for the first time all day, a hint of a smile flickers over his lips. “‘Dating’?” He echoes, almost challenging. “No, we are far past courtship. William and I were wed months ago.”
Somehow, out of all of the ridiculous, incredible, out-of-this-world things Mike has seen in the past couple hours, this one is by far the hardest for him to believe.
Out of all the insane things that have happened to Mike Wheeler, waking up in a parallel universe face-to-face with his own DND character just might take the cake.

Summary
Will Byers died at the end of the Upside Down. It was a risk everyone had been aware of, a risk no one wanted to take.
They hadn't been expecting him to wake up.
Neither had he. Nor had he been expecting to feel so different when he did so. Now, there was something coursing through his veins that he didn't recognize. A hunger that he wasn't used to. Something that was taking him over.
Instead of getting to speak to Mike about his death bed confession, he had to figure out how to handle these new instincts, before he got someone killed.
