Kris turns to face her with an expression on their face that she doesn’t quite understand. They open and close their mouth once before shaking their head and looking away again. Noelle frowns, irritation spiking.
“I understand if you didn’t want to talk to me about it in front of Susie, but did it occur to you that maybe there were things I didn’t want to talk to Susie about in front of you?”
