She clenched her fist, and Donatello had a moment to realize that he’d wasted his last breath. A useless plea to someone who couldn’t hear, begging for a shred of acknowledgment. For mercy. And when his air was used up, a different kind of scream built in his throat, but this one wouldn't get the chance to escape.
Donatello could pinpoint the exact moment his vocal cords were torn from his throat. The same moment the rest of him was torn apart. Cell ripped from cell, molecule from molecule, and the turtle felt every single sever, rend, and split of his flesh. Bone, sinew, nerves, all ripped apart in one…painful… instant.And there was nothing…
