Summary
Lottie Matthews is used to being looked at.
Natalie Scatorccio is used to being listened to.
Somewhere between New York Fashion Week, sold-out venues, paparazzi flashes, and one very dangerous first conversation, they become completely obsessed with each other.

Summary
Ten years after the crash, none of them have truly moved on.
Natalie Scatorccio drifts through life between debts, addictions, and memories that still echo from the desert, while across the ocean, Lottie Matthews tries to build a quiet life in Switzerland, leaving behind faith, visions, and everything that happened during those lost months.
But when a little boy named River unexpectedly comes into Lottie’s care, fragments of the past begin to resurface. A shared obligation forces them to return home, and Natalie and Lottie find themselves trapped in an unlikely arrangement: pretending to be married for a few months, just long enough to keep appearances and survive what still haunts them.
The problem is that some things never truly stay in the past. And they will have to face it. Long, long after everyone thought they were gone.

Summary
"Sure, she had tons of “friends,” those girls who would enthusiastically greet her in the halls and talk to her to seem cooler. And then there were the boys. A lot of them. She occasionally exchanged a few words with some, while they stared at her lips obsessively, thinking that would somehow make her want to kiss them. It never happened, by the way.
She'd dated a few guys over the years, usually the ones not completely obsessed with her, and they always acted too polite, scared perhaps that a wrong move would ruin their reputation. But as soon as someone tried to take things further, she broke up with them. No explanations.
In the end, popularity wasn't her favorite thing, but she knew how to manage it. Her father was proud of her, that was what mattered. No teacher ever dared to raise their voice to her, and the whole school hung on her every word.
Well, almost everyone.
The whole school, except for Natalie Scatorccio."
