   This siren was made for him. It had taken the form that would appeal most to Ford, and Ford alone. Ford cursed every higher power that he didn’t believe in. Why couldn’t the siren have chosen to mimic Stanley’s fantasies instead? Why couldn’t this have happened when Stanley was far, far away, scamming some poor fish market salesman?
